Wow! My brothers and I attended this church in the late 80's. It was a fantastic church with good people and Pastor Smith was a great man who could even keep my 9 yr old butt listening intently in the pew. =]

Hey Valarie,

Thanks for your input. I deleted out the negative sentence at the end because I felt like it was unnecessary. I have decided that things are going quite well here at Fellowship, and at the same time I'm incredibly thankful to your dad and your grandfather, both of whom I've met around 10 years ago when I first arrived. I too do not know what happened to the gym or the 300 people, because when I arrived, there were about 20 people in attendance, 5 of which are still around.
Please thank your family for me, and let them know how thankful I am for their desire to see the gospel spread here in the New England area.

Wachusett Valley CHRISTIAN Church & Academy were started by my father John Martelli. He and my grandfather spent countless
hours building the church attached to the one time bakery, (Some history for you). He also built the church congregation
from just our family to over 300. He led hundreds if not thousands of people to the Lord and baptized hundreds in the
10 years he was there. He to, loved sports, and built the auditorium so we could play basketball during the week and
worship on Wednesday and Sundays. I do not know when they replaced the gym with a permanent fellowship hall, but it is sad
to see. As for your new vibe, the vibes from our 10 year stay were amazing. There are people today who still contact my
father for prayer request and just general conversation. I could add a lot more to your history on Wachusett Valley
CHRISTIAN Church & Academy as could others.

Well, MJ, it did make me cry for many reasons. You have done an awesome job pulling
these pics together to reflect on what was and what is YET TO COME. Many faces
that have already gone to be with the Lord -- and those of us still left to
carry on the task of Leading People towards Christ.
