Dear reader,
This week we’ve released a version of our new web site at fellowshipholden.com.
It needs a bit of work, but Mike has done a great job of helping us so far get it to where it needs to be.
Now, before we officially announce the fact that it is up and running, I’d like some help from you, my martyholman.com community.
You see, I’m not a big detail guy, so though I can help shape the vision of a concept, there are probably things I don’t see that need to be changed.
So if you get a minute and would like to help sometime in the next few days, please go to our new church web site, and offer any constructive changes you see that we might need to make before we really make it known that it is finished.

It looks really good. Just two quick comments. On the Contact page, I’d list the church’s email address in addition to the online form. Also, you may want to put in something about subscribing to the church’s email list. And then on the Get Involved page, two of the lines are strangely indented.
Also, the Who We Are and Ministries pages are blank. And apparently Mart is the only leader at church. I’m assuming that all of the content hasn’t been produced yet, but you should probably fill those in before you announce the new website.
What is Carie’s email address? I think her and I should write to each other.
I like the new site a lot. I’m hoping to see a way to post up to date content to the site. In other words, your home page could have a feed reader widget of some sort on the front. I believe you can feed it content by using the “shared” feature on google reader… this will allow you to subscribe to any content via rss feed and directed it to the church website by just clicking on the “shared” link in google reader (the creates a separate rss of your shared items). Now, at the click of a button you can share your own blogs, someone else’s blogs, or even news that is relevant to the church right on the home page. There is a lot of good content coming from the people of the church, it would be great to leverage that for people who are visiting the website.
