Apr 24 2008

Okay. my friend Clay told me about this web site that features a theory of the show “Lost” that will knock your socks off.  If you’re a fan of Lost and are interested in what the deal is on this island, you need to go here now

And then, I want to know your thoughts.  You can also say “Thank you” to Clay and me for telling you about this site.

  1. Wow!
One of the things I’d been trying to puzzle out is the name of the Dharma initiative. Dharma is a concept in Buddhism. In some ways, it’s a bit like the Christian term “The Word.” One can be quite literal and mean the word as the Bible. One can be a bit more metaphoric and refer to Jesus as “the word” like at the beginning of Johns gospel…
At any rate, the meanings I was familiar with of ‘Dharma’ were more or less the idea that the term referred to both Buddhist scriptures and ethical living. (Dharma’s pairing with Greg came a little later. ;) )
Niether of these seemed terribly related to the show.
On a lark, just now, I did a web search, which lead me to Wikapedia, which lead me to this as part of the first paragraph definition:
“the order which makes the cosmos and the harmonious complexity of the natural world possible”
This seems to be just what the site was talking about– the timeline righting itself seems very Dharma-ish.
    hmmm.
