Just dreamin’

I’m sitting here admiring the future. It looks sweet.
Carie and I talked about the future a bit yesterday, and what we wanted it to look like, how we were going to get there, and what the point of it all is. It gets me really excited!
We’re still hashing it out and attempting to focus it all, but all in all, I’m pretty impressed and what God can do as we dream together. Carie’s top strength is that she’s a futurist, and my top strengths are Ideation and Positivity, so you can bet that our future looks mighty good, with some pretty sweet stuff going on.
I’m also so excited for Fellowship Church as all of our future plans focus in on our church family. We love to dream this stuff, and we love where we’re at.
So this makes me think more and dream more and focus more.
I’d love to know what you’re dreaming about right now.
Also, this weekend’s service will be amazing as God is continuing to do great things at Fellowship Church. Service will be at 10:30 am! See you there!
Until next time…

I was thinking about he girl that formed the architype for every girl I would be interested in in . . . my life?
Her name was Elizabeth Wilkens and I knew her as a sophmore and junior in highschool. Some of my friends that know me best can probably already list some of her qualities. She was excentric, with short brown hair. We liked to talk about ideas and she was struggling to makes sense of the contradictions in the world. She was independant in her ability to make judgements, but very sensative to people. Enjoyed people, but in that weird way that I enjoy people, or Nora enjoys people or Rachel enjoys people, or even Katie Ferguson. We like people alot . . . kind of. Like seriously, we like people!! But if you happen to be a decent person I bet we will like you alot more. And nothing too quick, I need to get used to you being around me!! My relationship with her no longer exists, but I’ve never forgotten what it meant to me than.
I had a decent amount of time to think today, as I spent several hours vacuuming in our church. Here is an image I would like to share from a book I was reading recently.
An old wedding ring in a pawn shop from a broken engagement.
Passing the window what do you feel? Should the man try to get some money back? Or should he have taken the ring and thrown it in the ocean. It was a symbol of his love for her that now is broken, and he couldn’t stand to see it defiled by allowing it to continue to exist, if the relationship was destroyed than so would the symbol. A clean cut.
That image has been tearing me up recently, as I’ve been thinking about how it applies to myself.
Also, thank you Marty for allowing me to blog on your blog. Can you RSS a certain persons comments? So maybe someone likes my comments, and wants to see whenever I comment on your wall without checking your blog? Could they like RSS just my comments so that it will automatically notify them when a new on is up? RSS is very exciting. Maybe we need to move to SMCS, slightly more complex syndication.
